About Scholarship:
The
MEXT Asia Pacific University Japanese Government Scholarship 2024 is a fully
funded scholarship that is offered to outstanding international students who
are interested in pursuing a Master's or PhD degree at Asia Pacific University
(APU) in Japan. The scholarship covers the full cost of tuition, living
expenses, and airfare.
Eligibility Requirements:
o Applicants must be between the ages
of 18 and 30 on the day of application.
o Applicants must have completed a
bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
o Applicants must have a minimum GPA
of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
o Applicants must be fluent in
English.
o Applicants must be able to
demonstrate their academic ability and potential for success in their chosen
field of study.
Documents Required:
The
following are the documents required for the MEXT Asia Pacific University
Japanese Government Scholarship 2024:

Application form: You can download the application
form from the APU website.
·
Personal statement: This is your opportunity to
introduce yourself and explain why you are interested in the scholarship. Be
sure to highlight your academic achievements, extracurricular activities, and
any other relevant experiences.

Transcripts: Submit official transcripts from
all of your previous schools.
·
Letters of recommendation: Two letters of recommendation are
required. These should be from academic referees who can speak to your academic
abilities and potential.
·
English proficiency test scores: You must submit scores from either
the TOEFL or IELTS. The minimum required score is 79 for the TOEFL iBT and 6.5
for the IELTS.
·
Motivational letter: This letter should explain why you
are interested in studying at APU and how the scholarship would help you
achieve your goals.
·
Proof of health insurance: You must provide proof that you
have health insurance that will cover you during your time in Japan.
·
Passport-sized photo: You must submit one
passport-sized photo.
Benefits of the Scholarship:
The
MEXT APU Scholarship provides the following benefits:
o Full tuition
o Living expenses of 144,000 JPY per
month
o Airfare between your home country
and Japan
o Health insurance
o Research allowance (for PhD
students only)
How to Apply for MEXT Scholarship:
1. Submit your APU application by November
15, 2023. The application process for the APU is separate from the MEXT
Scholarship application process.
2. After reviewing the application,
APU will select outstanding candidates to recommend to MEXT. If you are selected
by APU , you will be notified and requested to submit MEXT required documents.
3. The award result are decided by
MEXT. The MEXT scholarship application deadline is January 15, 2024.
